Practical AI consultancy for SME owners

Put AI and agents to work in your business.

Understand where AI can help, choose a workable starting point and keep control of the result. John Wicks combines commercial experience since 1996 with extensive hands-on use of AI and agents to run The Green Agents with a small team.

Experience from running a business

Practical advice from an owner who uses AI himself.

John uses AI and agents extensively to operate his own business without a large staff. He also builds business apps and created Studio, bringing experience of developing tools around real working processes. That experience informs his consultancy: understanding the task, supplying useful context, checking the output and deciding when a person should take over.

The aim is to help you make informed choices about your own workflows. We discuss the systems you already use, the information involved and the commercial purpose before recommending a starting point. Scope, responsibilities and fees are agreed before work begins.

How John uses AI himself

Real tasks from the working day.

John says this use of AI saves him hours in his own business. The benefit for another company depends on its tasks, information, systems and review process.

Email and daily briefings

His agent reads emails and prepares morning and evening reports: what needs attention during the day and what has been completed by the evening.

Outreach and social content

He uses AI to compile email outreach drafts and design social media posts, drawing on his commercial experience to judge relevance and quality.

Invoices and outstanding payments

He also uses AI in invoice sending and debt follow-up. These workflows need accurate account information and clear controls over recipients, amounts and communications.

Business apps and agents

John builds apps and created Studio. He can discuss whether an existing tool, a defined agent workflow or a business app is the right starting point for your task. Access, responsibilities and project scope are agreed first.

Discuss your workflow →

A workable process

Start with one task. Test it before extending it.

01

Understand

Map the task, the current effort and the result your business needs.

02

Set boundaries

Agree which information and systems are involved, who owns the process and which actions need approval.

03

Try a workflow

Start with a manageable example. Compare the output with the way the task is done today.

04

Review

Check accuracy, usefulness, time spent reviewing and what happens when the agent cannot finish.

05

Improve

Keep what works, document responsibilities and expand only where the evidence supports it.

What is an AI agent?

An agent uses an AI model, instructions and available tools to work through a task. Its usefulness depends on the information it receives, the access it has and the checks around its actions. It still needs an owner and a clear route for exceptions.

Can AI guarantee leads or replace all staff?

No. Automation can support research, preparation and consistent follow-up. Suitable buyers, a credible offer, human qualification and good delivery still determine commercial results.

What should I bring to the first conversation?

One task you want to improve, how it works today, the tools involved and an example that can be shared appropriately. We can then discuss whether AI consultancy, sales support or a combination is a useful starting point.
